An Actual Family Reunion

Another Hawley Society Reunion has come to an end.    A huge thank you to John and Dana Hawley and their sons Austin and Paul, of the Hawley Winery in Dry Creek Valley. The reunion was a smashing success (no pun intended) thanks to the hospitality of this Hawley Family. We very much enjoyed learning about wine making, falconry, and experiencing Dana’s beautiful art. I, for one, could be very happy sipping wine, sitting on the deck and enjoying the amazing view with my newly met cousins.

One of the highlights of the trip was the meeting of first cousins Harland Hawley of Kansas City, Charles Ray Hawley of San Carlos, California and Dorith Cosci of Redwood City.    Cynthia Adrian, Darith’s daughter,  said that she had not seen Charles in fifty years.   Truly a very memorable family reunion!

We were very happy to meet the many new attendees as well as reunite with those we knew.    Safe travels to all on the way home.

John - Michael, I had a great time meeting many nice and interesting people – that they were (distant) relations was a plus. I’m sending off a check for membership today (I couldn’t get the “pay now” link to work.
    My best,
